SALEM, MO., - Darrell Nash, a Vietnam War veteran from Salem, Missouri, died on Dec. 9, 2022.
Nash served in the U.S. Army from 1966 to 1968 during the Vietnam War.
Missy Stellhorn, Nash’s daughter, shared that her father had the opportunity to participate in an honor flight prior to his passing. “My dad served in Vietnam. I’m happy to say he was able to be part of an honor flight before he died,” Stellhorn said.
Honor flights are organized trips that allow veterans to visit war memorials in Washington, D.C., recognizing their sacrifices and service. Nash’s participation in this program reflects the ongoing efforts to honor those who served in the Vietnam War.
