Raffi Krikorian MD, owner of Virtue Vein and Lymphatic Center, is a board-certified cardiologist and vascular physician with 25 years of experience in this field. The practice specializes in conditions such as lymphedema, varicose & spider veins, deep vein thrombosis (DVT), pelvic congestion disease, restless leg syndrome, May-Thurner Syndrome, leg ulcers, and limb preservation in addition to cardiovascular procedures. Dr. Kirkorian said he made the decision to open a location in Edwardsville based on the need he’s seen in this area.

“We know that many people in Edwardsville and the Metro East typically drive to St. Louis for their care, but many of the specialized procedures we offer can easily be done in a more convenient location, closer to home,” said Dr. Krikorian. “Vein disease can impact many areas of a person’s health and my goal is to make treatment options as accessible for people as possible. Vein and artery diseases are both areas where I think my expertise can help people both medically and cosmetically, and I’m excited to be part of this business community.”

Dr. Krikorian said his practice uses and follows European vein techniques, which are often 2-3 years ahead of practices commonly used in the United States. The practice offers both in-person and telehealth appointments and is currently accepting new patients.

Dr. Krikorian’s office also offers vein and artery screenings, which can help detect conditions such as peripheral artery disease (PAD), atherosclerosis, carotid artery disease, deep vein thrombosis (DVT), and varicose veins.

It’s estimated that 15% of the United States population is affected by varicose veins, and millions of people each year also develop life-threatening conditions such as thrombophlebitis or DVT.

Virtue Vein and Lymphatic Center has seven locations throughout Southwest Missouri and Illinois, including its flagship location at 3760 South Lindbergh Blvd, Suite 101 in St. Louis. With 25 years of experience in this field, Dr. Krikorian is one of only a few board-certified cardiologists throughout the St. Louis region to also practice in vascular, venous, and lymphatic health. The private practice specializes in offering its patients cutting-edge solutions to their unique vein problems.
