City Council members unanimously approved a change order to expand the scope of an existing contract between the city and Kamadulski Excavating & Grading Co. Inc. to replace concrete sidewalks at various city-wide locations.
The expanded project scope includes the removal and replacement of an additional sidewalk as needed to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). It also calls for the removal and replacement of an additional concrete curb and other locations that were marked for replacement at the site, but not noted on the original bid documents.
The resolution states Public Works Director Michael Velloff told City Council members additional concrete sidewalks are needed throughout the city, and that funds are available to cover the cost to expand the project. Compensation for these additional services is not to exceed $125,000.
The city’s existing sidewalk repair contract with Kamex, Inc. was approved in August of 2025, and originally totaled $592,723.63. The newly approved $125,000 expansion brings the full project total to $717,723.63.
The change order was approved unanimously and without further discussion. Councilmen Bill Dettmers and Jeremy Plank were absent from the meeting.
