Jett allegedly knowingly possessed over 15 grams of methamphetamine with the intent to deliver on Sept. 22, 2026 and attempted to flee from a Worden Police officer who had signaled for Jett to stop his vehicle.
Charging documents state Jett’s attempted flight from the officer exceeded 21 miles per hour above the legal speed limit and involved the disobedience of two or more traffic control devices.
According to the state’s petition to deny Jett’s pretrial release, officers attempted a traffic stop related to registration issues, but Jett failed to yield, instead accelerating to 80 mph in a 55 mph zone and disregarding multiple traffic control devices.
“Defendant stopped in front of a residence and was detained by officers,” the petition states. “Search revealed a locked box in his possession containing baggies and approximately 28 grams of methamphetamine.”
The Worden Police Department presented the case against Jett, who was ordered remanded to jail for his initial appearance in court.
All individuals charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
