Victor “Vic” Clayton Marquis, 79, died at 10:26 p.m. on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at his residence. He was born May 30, 1938 in Alton. He graduated in 1956 from Alton High School and served in with National Guard in the Army. He retired after 38 years as a supervisor with Olin Corporation. He loved to fish and enjoyed skeet and trap shooting. On December 7, 1984, he married Sharon (Kuddes) and she survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Stacia Marquis-Ebrey of Alton and one son, Clayton Marquis (Jennifer Buchheit-Marquis) of Godfrey, five grandchildren, Jeremy Myers, Matthew Myers, Drew Marquis (Mandy Davis-Marquis), Alyson Ebrey (Josh Hensley), and Turner Marquis (Brook Stone), and two great-grandchildren; Alyssa Marquis and Everly Marquis. “Vic” had a very special place in his heart for his late grandfather Phil Lobsinger.
