Albert Bishop

Albert William Bishop Jr., age 74 of Godfrey, IL, died Sunday, September 14, 2025, at Beverly Farms in Godfrey, IL.

He was born on Monday, March 12, 1951, in East Saint Louis, IL, the son of Albert Sr. and Alvina (nee Kanning) Bishop.

Albert was born in East St. Louis, IL, and resided in Edwardsville from 1951 to 1971. He attended MCARC in Wood River. Albert moved to Alhambra in 1971, and he lived with his parents until April 22, 1993. On April 22, 1993, he moved to Beverly Farm in Godfrey, IL. He was known by everyone around him as a person who liked to laugh, communicate and participate in school plays as an actor. He loved to watch TV, especially the news.

• Niece - Andrea (Mike) Weibler, Darien, IL
• Nephew - Patrick Bishop, Willowbrook, IL
• Great Niece - Hailey Bishop
• Great Nephew - Andrew Bishop
• Great Nephew - Nicholas Bishop
• Great Nephew - Gavin Weibler

He was preceded in death by:

• Father - Albert W. Bishop Sr. died 01/15/1997
• Mother - Alvina B. Bishop (nee Kanning), died 9/17/2021

Arrangements are being handled by Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL.

A Memorial Gathering will be at 1:00 PM on Sunday, November 2, 2025, at Beverly Farms in Godfrey, IL.

A Private Interment will be at St. James Cemetery in Edwardsville, IL.
