Albert Ritchey

Albert Lee Ritchey, 89, died Sunday, September 10, 2017 at his home.

Born in Wood River on June 14, 1928, he was the son of Walter and Nora (Dial) Ritchey.

A World War II navy veteran, he had been a barge captain before retiring.

Surviving are his wife, Nina (Hufford) Ritchey of Alton; two daughters, Rita (Charles) Wilson and Karen (ichard) Williams all of South Roxana; five grandchildren, Leslie Wilson, Sarah Pellazari, Jeffery Wilson, Keith Williams, Amy Williams; three great grandsons, Joshua Barrow, Jason Pellazari, Jr., Jaxson Pellazari; a brother, Earl (Amanda) Hatcher; and several nieces and nephews.

Private services and burial were at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.

Marks Mortuary in Wood River was in charge of arrangements.
