Andrew Malloy

Andrew “Andy” Malloy, born October 16, 1975 to Gerald and Sally Malloy in St. Louis, Missouri, unexpectedly passed away from a cardiac event on August 18, 2026 at his home in O’Fallon, Illinois.

Andy will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving dad, cherished son and brother, beloved uncle, respected attorney, loyal friend, and the kind of neighbor everyone hopes to have. Those who knew Andy will also remember his unmistakable laugh—one that could fill a room, bring joy to those around him, and make even ordinary moments memorable.

The heart of Andy’s life was his family. He shared a loving life with his wife, Becky, and found his greatest joy in being a father to their three sons, Connor, Ethan, and Luke. Andy was deeply involved in every season of his boys’ lives. He coached them, taught them, encouraged them, and helped them and others discover the joy of playing sports of every kind.

Some of Andy’s most cherished moments with his sons were found in the special projects they completed together—from building Pinewood Derby cars and fixing bicycles to going fishing. These ordinary moments became extraordinary memories because they were shared with their dad. The countless hours he devoted to his sons reflected the extraordinary pride he took in being their father.

Sports were another important part of Andy’s life with his sons. They shared memorable trips to football and baseball stadiums. College football Saturdays were a treasured tradition. Andy also loved organizing Mizzou watch parties, creating yet another reason for the people he cared about to gather.

Andy’s appreciation for adventure began during childhood with his annual summertime experiences at Camp Kooch-i-ching. Those treasured summers with his siblings became an important part of his story and created memories, which transitioned into spontaneous summertime road trips with Becky and his sons to multiple National Parks.

St. Patrick’s Day held a particularly special place in Andy’s heart. Proud of his Irish heritage, Andy proposed to Becky on St. Patrick’s Day, making the holiday forever meaningful to their family. Over the years, he made the day memorable with beloved traditions such as a green breakfast—simple, joyful celebrations that became cherished family memories.

Andy graduated in May 2003 from the University of Missouri School of Law and went on to become the proud owner of Malloy Law Offices in St. Louis, Missouri.

Andy had a special talent for bringing people together. He was the leader of the Gastorf crew around the firepit, where neighbors gathered to share stories, laughter, and friendship. He was wonderful with the neighborhood children and dogs, and he could often be found standing in the front yard talking with neighbors while throwing tennis balls for his dear dog, Smokey. His warmth and genuine interest in others helped turn neighbors into friends and create community around him.

Andy is survived by his wife, Becky; his sons, Connor, Ethan, and Luke; his mother, Sally Malloy and her partner, Stephen Randall of Columbia, Missouri; and his dear dog and faithful companion, Smokey. He was preceded in death by his father, Gerald Malloy.

He is also survived by his siblings, Martin Malloy of Falls Church, Virginia; Meghan Malloy and husband, Donovan Evans of Columbia, Missouri; Seann Malloy and wife, Laura of Bethesda, Maryland; and Quentin Malloy and partner, Jackie of San Francisco, California.

Andy was a beloved uncle to Kieran Malloy, Patrick Malloy, Annie Malloy, Ainsley Malloy, and Hazel Malloy.

He is further survived by Becky’s parents, Reinhardt and Darlene Klie of Hoyleton, Illinois; his brother-in-law, Aaron Klie and wife, Stephanie of Covington, Illinois; his sister-in-law, Angela Kratzer and husband, Daniel of O’Fallon, Illinois; and nieces Mary Klie, Lucy Klie, and Kaitlyn Kratzer.

Funeral Service will begin at 10:30 am, Thursday, August 27, 2026 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, 625 St. Nicholas Dr., O’Fallon, Ill. Burial will follow at O’Fallon City Cemetery, O’Fallon, Ill.
