Ann Schifferdecker Moglia passed away peacefully at 3:21 p.m. on Saturday, November 15, 2025, surrounded by love. She was born on May 3, 1951, in East St. Louis, Illinois, the daughter of the late Vincent and Marian (Kreitner) Schifferdecker.
Ann retired from the Sears Department Store in Fairview Heights after more than 15 years as an interior designer. Following retirement, she spent several years as a bridal consultant with David’s Bridal. Whether helping families enhance their homes or guiding brides on one of the most meaningful days of their lives, Ann found true joy in helping others create beauty and lasting memories.
A devout Catholic, Ann was a faithful member of Mother of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Maryville and St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Belleville. She cherished attending Mass, praying the Rosary daily, and living her faith with gratitude and devotion. She embraced life fully, treasured time with her family and friends, and loved reminiscing with her remarkable memory. Above all, she dearly loved and cared for her daughter and deeply cherished her grandchildren.
Ann is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Ann Margaret and Luke Williams of Maryville; her beloved grandchildren, Owen, Margaret “Maggie,” and Oliver Williams; her brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Melanie Schifferdecker of Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri; her twin sisters, Jean Schifferdecker of Clayton, Missouri, and Joan Kron Faerber of Elsah, Illinois; as well as several nieces and nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her infant twin brother, Joseph Paul Schifferdecker; her grandmother, Margaret Kreitner; her brother-in-law, Fritz Faerber; and her former husband, John Moglia.
