Arline Clark

Arline Frances Clark, 84, of St. Ann, MO, formerly of Granite City, died peacefully at 2:00 a.m. Wed. July 9, 2025 in Hospice care.

She was born Aug. 29, 1940 in St. Louis, MO to the late Frank and Arline (Shepard) Noah.

Arline married Buddy Watkins and they were blessed with 5 children: Buddy Watkins Jr., Ricky (Kathy) Watkins all of Granite City, Richard (Cyndy) Watkins of Port Orange, FL, Sheryl  Watkins of Bridgeton, MO, and infant, Becky who passed away. 

After Buddy’s death, she married Charles Roy Clark and he brought to their marriage: Charlotte (Robert) Schuman of St. Charles, MO, Pam (Raymond) Israel of Edwardsville, IL, Karon (Gary) Harbison of Smithton, IL, Sharon (Douglas) Tearney of Lannon, WI, Sandy Flasher of Granite City, and Douglas (Emily Kroemer) Clark of Mt. Vernon, IA.  Charlotte Schuman, Karon Harbison, and Douglas Clark preceded her in death.

Her Watkins grandchildren are Michael (Megan), Christopher (girlfriend: Crystal Parker), Heather, Robbie, and Bryant (Kelly).  She also had Ashley (Jim) Beckring, and Kasey (Jake) Dacus and great-grandchildren, Ian, Julian, Xander, Alex, Alyssa, Kyleigh, Jordan, Skyler, Madalynn, and Margo.

Arline was one of six children: sisters, Florence (Kenny) Tipler, Alice (Robert) Sutton, Nina Noah, and Judy Noah all of Granite City, and brother, Allen Noah.  Alice and Robert Sutton and Allen Noah preceded her in death.

She was happiest when she could yell, “Bingo” with the ladies in her apartment complex.  They only played with quarters, but she was always proud when she won her 50 cents!  She loved to be included in activities with the family and enjoyed shopping, eating out and relaxing at home.

Arline will be cremated and laid to rest next to her husband, Buddy Sr. at Sunset Hills Memorial Estates in Glen Carbon, IL.
