Barbara J. Hubbard, age 86, of Alton, passed away Sunday, March 11, 2018, at her home surrounded by her family.She was born June 19, 1931, in Alton, the daughter of Aden L. and Barbara C. (Stites) Dilley. She married James B. Hubbard on June 24, 1955 in Alton, and he preceded her in death in 2011.Barbara was a member of Brown Street Baptist Church in Alton. She enjoyed baking, sewing, and taking care of her family.She is survived by a daughter and her husband, Debra and James McDonald of Alton; a grandchild and his wife, James and Sylvia McDonald III, of Petersburg, IL; a great-grandson, Bruce McDonald; a brother, John Thomas Dilley of Sandy, OR; and three sisters-in-law, Myrna, Ruth, and Veronica Dilley.In addition to her husband, James; she is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Paul Dilley Sr. and Dr. William Dilley; and a sister, Jane Norris.A private family ceremony will take place in Upper Alton Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Brown Street Baptist Church.Elias, Kallal, and Schaaf Funeral Home in Alton is in charge of arrangements.Online Condolences may be made at www.eliaskallalandschaaf.com
