Barbara Stassi

Barbara J. Stassi, 88, died at 5:51 p.m. Saturday, November 16, 2024 at OSF St. Anthony’s Health Center. 

Born March 20, 1936 in Canada, she was the daughter of James and Helen (Woods) Mitchell. 

She married Anthony John Stassi.He preceded her in death in April of 2021.

Surviving are three sons, Larry Stassi (Nancy) of Alton, Dan Stassi of Toronto, Canada, and Tony Stassi (Jennifer) of Tennessee, four grandchildren, Jimmy, Ryan, Rita and Randi, and seven great grandchildren, Adelynn, Alayna, Royce, Orin, John, Logan and Connor.

Barbara leaving this life has left a void that touched people in the way she did throughout her life.No services are scheduled at this time.

Memorials may be made to The 5A’s Animal Shelter or the Metro East Humane Society.
