Betty J. Gault, nee Scoggin, 94, of Swansea, IL, born Sunday, April 3, 1932, in Morganton, GA, passed away Wednesday, September 9, 2026 at Friendship Village Chesterfield in Chesterfield, MO.

Betty worked as a teacher of 21 years. She was a member of St. Matthew Church, Belleville, IL.

She was preceded in death by her:

• Parents: Grady and Nora, nee Hemphill, Scoggin
• Brother: Robert Scoggin

Surviving are her:

• Son: David A. (Tina) Gault of Dardenne Prairie, MO
• Daughter: Deborah Gault of Ballwin, MO

Services: Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 11, 2026 at Kurrus Funeral Home, with Rev. Rob Tevis officiating. Interment will follow at Valhalla Gardens of Memory- Belleville, IL.
