Betty Gibson

Betty Gibson, 75, passed away at 5:15 pm on Saturday October 1, 2016 at her home.

Betty was born on November 28, 1940 in Hardin, IL., the daughter of Carl Benson Groves and Faye Evelyn (Vardell) Groves.

Betty was a registered LPN and practiced her work in Illinois. Betty loved spending time with her family, playing games, avid Cardinals fan, loved her music, great singer, and loved to play her guitar and drums.

She is survived by her husband Harvey Gibson of Carlinville, one daughter and son in-law Nancy and Jim Horman, and two sons and daughter in-laws John and Crystal Gibson, and Justin and Tammy Nix Gibson; seven grandchildren and their spouses Mindy and Chris DeClue, Sandy and Darren Kulp, Jimmy and Lauren Hess Horman, Lacey and Ricky Ottwell, Lance and Christina Gibson, Lauren and Nathan Hirst, and Dalton Gibson; ten great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephew, and cousins.

In addition to her parents Betty was also preceded by her sister Linda Groves, and her brother Roland Groves.

Private memorial services will be held at a later date.
