Betty Kirby

Betty Ann Kirby, 76, passed away May 31, 2026 at Memorial Hospital in Belleville.

Born December 17, 1949 in Campbell, MO, she was the daughter of Floyd Bryan and Ruth M. (Maples) Helton.

On November 1, 1980 in Grafton, she married Jerold Wayne Kirby. He died May 22, 2016. She married Ronald Hampton on March 29, 2018 in Belleville. He survives.

Surviving also are a son, Eric (Joy) Latham of Brighton; daughter, Kimberly (Allan) Zwick of Maryville; step-daughter, Erica (Chad) Nowski of Millstadt; four grandchildren, Aaron (Megan), Taylor, Jordyn, and Kane; and three great grandchildren, Gunner, Hadley, and Wayne.

She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband; and three brothers, Floyd Helton, Jr., John Helton, and Dorris Helton.

Visitation will be from 4-7 pm, Thursday, June 4 at Marks Mortuary in Wood River where funeral service will be conducted at 10:30 am, Friday. Frank Akers will officiate.

Burial will follow in Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
