Beverly Foster

Beverly Ann Foster, 89, passed away Saturday, February 20, 2016 at Rosewood Care Center of Alton.

Born October 26, 1926 in Alton, she was the daughter of John Joseph and Gertrude C. (Steward) Dooling.

A homemaker, she was active in community programs including the Wood River Heritage Council and Wood River Museum and Visitors Center.

She married Thomas J. Foster on December 15, 1945 in Wood River.  He died August 20, 1983.

Surviving are two sons, Kevin (LeeAnn) Foster of Chesterton, IN, William "Bill" (Jo) Foster of Asheville, NC; four grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and a brother, Joseph Dooling of Hartford.

Her parents; Husband; and a son, David Foster preceded in death.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Saturday at Marks Mortuary in Wood River.  Pastor Kimberly Allen will officiate.

Burial will follow in Woodland Hill Cemetery. 

Memorials may be made to the Wood River Museum and Visitors Center.
