Carlene Riddle

Carlene May Riddle, nee Koch, 100, of Belleville, IL, born Tuesday, December 22, 1925, in Troy, IL, passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2026 at St. Paul’s Home in Belleville, IL.

Carlene worked as a Registered Nurse for McCann & Cox’s physician’s office. She was a former member of Westview Baptist from 1964-2022 where she sang in the choir and was also a Sunday School Teacher. She was also a member of The Singing Illinoisians.

She was preceded in death by her:

• Daughter: Darla K. Bridges
• Parents: Fremont N. Koch and Mabel, nee Tannehill, Koch
• Sister: Virginia “Ginny” Lee Simpson

Surviving are her:

• Son: Gregory J. Riddle (Judy Lockhart) of Belleville, IL
• Daughter: Debra A. (Rick) Kretschmer of Clayton, NC

Memorials: Memorials may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Shriners Children’s-St. Louis or Hospice of Southern Illinois.

Visitation: Visitation from 9:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 15, 2026 at Kurrus Funeral Home in Belleville, Illinois.

Services: Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 15, 2026 at Kurrus Funeral Home, with Rev. Jim Robinson officiating. Interment will follow at Valhalla Gardens of Memory-Belleville, IL.
