Carol Heinz

Carol F. Heinz, 75, of Moro, passed away on Monday, October 26, 2026.

She was born on January 12, 1951, in St. Louis, MO, the daughter of Jacob and Marian (Melchior) Mueller. Carol married Richard A. Heinz on April 15, 1972. He survives.

Carol loved to be a housewife, but in the past, she sold Avon and Pampered Chef in the Wood River and Bethalto area. She enjoyed traveling, reading, bingo, and quilting. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, who meant so much to her.

Along with her husband, Richard, she is survived by her children, Deborah (Steve) Long of Edwardsville, and Karen (Steve) Burk of Wood River; granddaughter, Katelyn Long; sister, Marian Kennedy of Montana; sister-in-law, Mickelyn Mueller of Kirkwood, MO; brother-in-law, Robert (Zella) Heinz of Park Hill, OK; nephews, Bobby (Aleksis) Mueller of Virginia Beach, VA, and Jim (Jackie) Mueller of Bend, OR; and a niece, Leah Anderson of Montana.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Robert Mueller; and a brother-in-law, Gary Kennedy.

Per her wishes, cremation rites will be accorded by Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto.
