Carol Klein

It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Carol Anne Klein, age 81, of Fenton, MO, on Tuesday, September 8, 2026.

Born on October 27, 1944, in Philadelphia, PA, Carol lived a life marked by love, and dedication God and to family. She touched the lives of many through her kindness, and unwavering support of those she loved.

Carol was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family and celebrating life's special moments together. She was known for her compassion and faith and will be remembered for the warmth she brought to every room she entered.

Though she will be deeply missed, her love, wisdom, and example will remain in the hearts of those who knew her. Her legacy lives on through the family she cherished and the many lives she touched.

Carol was preceded in death by her cherished husband, John F. Klein who served faithfully for several years as a priest at St Mary’s Catholic Church in Belleville, IL; and her parents, Walter J. and Genevieve A., nee Higgins, Jakob.

She is survived by her two sons, John (Amanda) Klein, and James (Laura) Klein; four beloved grandchildren who brought her great joy, Addison, Easton, Beckett, and Paxton Klein; and many extended family members and dear friends.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the physicians, nurses, caregivers, and all those who provided care and comfort during Carol’s final days.

Visitation: Friends may visit from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL.

Funeral: A Memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Belleville, IL, with Msgr. William McGhee officiating. According to Carol’s wishes, her remains were donated to Saint Louis University School of Medicine.
