Carolyn Meade

Carolyn “Connie” Helen Meade, 86, passed away peacefully on September 21, 2026, in Godfrey, IL.

Connie was born on September 5, 1940, in Lansing, Michigan to Frederick Charles and Esther May (Vogt) Meade.

She was a member of the 1st United Methodist church in Manistique, Michigan. She earned master’s degree in nursing and then went on to be a school nurse within the
Lansing School District in Lansing, Michigan. She enjoyed gardening, and stained glass. She loved her pets dearly, especially her three golden retrievers and many different cats. She enjoyed making pasties at church with friends and was part of the Methodist Women’s Group.

Connie is survived by her sister, Cathy Kasten (Jim) of Godfrey, IL; nephew, Mark (Jennifer) Kasten of Maryland; niece, Michelle (Dana) Eastman of Arizona; and two great nephews, Ryan and Jacob Kasten.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Elias, Kallal, and Schaaf Funeral Home in Godfrey are in charge of arrangements.
