Carolyn Glass

Carolyn Sue "Susie" Glass, 75, passed away 1:50 p.m., Saturday, May 13, 2017 at Christian Hospital Northeast.

Born in Kane on November 11, 1941, she was the daughter of Odie Grant and Frances (Estes) Woodring.

Susie had work as a cook at "Nita's Cafe" in Wood River before retiring.

She was married to Charles "Dugan" Glass for 52 years before his death on July 23, 2013.

Surviving are a son, Charles (Laurie) Glass of Wood River; daughters, Rosey (Stanton) Zick of Bethalto, Linda (James) Stufflebeem of Hartford; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; two brothers, Sam Woodring of Medora, Marlin Woodring of Jerseyville; and three sisters, Barb Cain, Gwendolyn Calvert both of Jerseyville and Phyllis Vinyard of Jacksonville.

Her parents; husband; and a sister, Janet Gettings preceded her in death.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Marks Mortuary in Wood River, where services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday.  Pastor Steven Greer will officiate.

Private burial will be in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
