Charles Champlin

Charles F. Champlin, 71, passed away 12:45 am, Saturday, December 22, 2018 at his residence.

Born in Alton on January 26, 1947, he was the son of Marvin Andrew and Betty Lee (Fiezel) Champlin.

He had been an electrician for Unitron for 18 years before retiring. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle as often as he could.

On September 5, 1981 in Cottage Hills, Charles married Brenda Belcher.  She died March16, 2014.

Surviving also are a daughter, Lisa (Michael) Hahne of Cottage Hills; grandchildren, Nicholas, Trenton and Kaeden Toenyes; nephews, Matt and Mark Logan; and niece, Taun Spurgeon.

His parents; wife; daughter, Penny Bruce; brother, Robert Champlin; and sister, Donna Champlin preceded in death.

No services have been scheduled.  His body will be cremated in accordance with his wishes.

Marks Mortuary in Wood River is in charge of arrangements.
