Clara L. Brannan, 79, of St. Louis, passed away peacefully to the Lord on Friday, Feb. 26, 2016, at St. Agnes Home in St. Louis, Mo.

She was born on May 3, 1936, in Carrollton, Illinois. She was the daughter of Harold and Paula Carmody. She was married to Bob Brannan and he preceded her in death on Feb. 4, 2002.

Clara was a devoted Catholic and surrounded at her death by Carmelite Sisters Of The Divine Heart Of Jesus at St. Agnes Home in St. Louis, Mo. Clara loved all her children, grandchildren and family with her whole heart.

Clara is survived by her son, Dan, of Glen Carbon, Ill., wife, Michele, and a daughter, Sharon, husband, Gary, of St. Louis, Mo. She is also survived by Sharon’s children, Mary, Megan, Sarah and Michael, and Dan’s children Savannah and Sierra. She is survived by a sister, Martha, brother, Jim, and an abundance of nieces, nephews and cousins. Her sisters, Carole and Mary, preceded her in death, along with her parents.

She was a dental hygienist for Dr. Levi in Carrollton in the late 1950s before she had her two children, then was a homemaker.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, March 5, at St. John’s Catholic Church in Carrollton, followed by a funeral service beginning at noon. Airsman Hires Funeral Home in Carrollton is handling those arrangements. A separate memorial Mass will be held at 9 a.m., Saturday, March 12, at St. Agnes Home’s Catholic Church.

Memorials can be made to St. Agnes Home and the Carmelite Sisters Of The Divine Heart of Jesus, both at 10341 Manchester Road, St. Louis, Mo., 63122.
