Daniel Adams

Daniel “Dan” Edward Adams, 73, of Belleville, IL, born August 24, 1953, in St. Louis, MO, died Sunday, September 13, 2026, at La Bella of Caseyville, Caseyville, IL.

A long time railroad man, Dan also worked as a general contractor in education, real estate, and insurance. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren, traveling to the Southwest, flying, bicycling, watching sitcoms on TV, and working out with his buddies at the YMCA.

He was preceded in death by a son, Joseph Adams; his parents, John Ed and Violet F., née West, Adams; a sister, Sandra J. Barksdale; and many aunts and uncles.

Surviving are his four children, Melanie J. (Matt) Chandler of Crown Point, IN, Dan E. Adams of Belleville, IL, Kathryn E. Adams (Ben Sullivan) of Olathe, KS, and Emily R. A. Casey (Tom) of Fairview Heights, IL, and their mother, Jo Ann Bohnenstiehl (Tom); three granddaughters, Michaela Chandler, Gwendolynn Adams, and Madilyn Casey; and one sister, Jodey M. Adams of Belleville, IL.
