Danny Lawson

Danny Ray Lawson, 73, of Alton passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2026 at his home. Born October 7, 1952 in Alton, he was the son of the late Harry E. Lawson and Roberta F. (DeSherlia) Andrus. He married Ramona Torres on August 18, 1972. She preceded him in death on July 10, 2018.

He was a US Army veteran and worked many years at Lenhardt Tool and Die and retired from Dugan Tool and Die. He loved fishing and working on old cars.

He is survived by a daughter, Angel Wrightand a son, Clint (Stephanie Lawson; grandsons, Josh Trimm, Cole (Bronte) Lawson, Calvin and Connor Lawson; granddaughter, Stephanie Spurgeon; three great grandchildren, Harmony, Ty and Mason; two siblings, Harry Lawson, Jr. and Marilyn Morgan.

Along with his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Roberta Lawson and a brother, Gary Lawson, Sr.

Per his wishes there will be no services and cremation rights will be accorded. Gent Funeral Home & Cremation Services have been entrusted with services.
