Darlene Renko

Darlene A. Renko, 87, of Moro, IL, passed away at 10:08 AM on Friday, August 7, 2026 at her residence near Moro, IL. She was born November 12, 1938 in Staunton, IL, the daughter of the late Theodore & Clara (Dubbelde) Dworzynski Sr. She married Walter L. Renko on March 11, 1961 & he preceded her in death.

Darlene graduated from Staunton High School with the Class of 1956, & was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Bethalto, IL. She was a devoted homemaker & enjoyed working in her yard & flower beds.

She is survived by three children - Mark Renko of St. Charles, MO, Duane (Angela) Renko of Edwardsville, IL, & Ryan Renko of Edwardsville, IL; one granddaughter - Michelle (Bryan) Roy of O’Fallon, IL; one grandson - Cory (Natalie) Tally of Worden, IL; four great grandchildren - Sydney, Ciara, & Silas Roy of O’Fallon, IL, & Christian Tally of Worden, IL.

Besides her husband & parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter - Roxanne Gregory; & two brothers - Larry Dworzynski & Theodore “Teddy” Dworzynski Jr.

No services are scheduled. Interment of cremains will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Staunton, IL at a later date.

Memorials are suggested to either the American Cancer Society or to Madison County Humane Society.
