David Williams

David L. Williams, 72, passed away, unexpectedly at 12:05 p.m. Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at Alton Memorial Hospital.

Born in Alton on March 4, 1943, he was the son of Lovell and Wanda L. (Hubbard) Williams.

David had worked at a number of occupations during his life, including, for the Olin/Winchester Corporation, he operated a printing company, owned a restaurant and most recently was a case worker for the State of IL.

He married the former Renee Chapman on June 3, 1986 in St. Louis.  She survives.

Surviving also are two daughters, Molly Williams and Amy Williams.

His parents and a brother, Terrence Williams preceded in death.

Visitation will be from 12 until time of service at 2 p.m. Monday at Marks Mortuary in Wood River.
