David Selhime

David Russell Selhime, 81, went to his heavenly home 2:35 pm on Monday, November 26, 2018 at his residence.

Born in Alton on December 10, 1936, he was the son of John Russell and Evelyn (Gibbs) Selhime.A Marine Corps veteran, he worked as a boilermaker for National Transit for 30 years before retiring.

On November 10, 1959 in Granite City, he married Betty Via.  She survives.

Surviving also are a daughter, Nancy (Wes) Cannon of Wood River; seven grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, John Selhime; two daughters, Brenda and Susan Selhime; brother, Larry Selhime; and sister, Shirley Selhime Lamy.

A Celebration of Life Memorial will be held from 1-5 pm, Saturday, December 1, 2018 at The Family of God Church, 224 Linton, Wood River, IL.
