David Schaub

David William Schaub, Sr., 60, of Belleville, IL, born February 11, 1965, in Belleville, IL, died Thursday, November 27, 2025, at his residence.

David, first and foremost, was deeply cherished by his children. He was “Dad” before anything. He was a devoted and loyal “ride or die” to his wife of 40 years, a monumental figure to his family, and a beloved son, brother and uncle. His friendship was unmatched, as was his charismatic ways of the world. He was a protector of the misguided and a leader to the lost. He was a tough, hardworking man that lived on the compass of moral code. “What’s right is right, what’s wrong is wrong.”

He cherished the times working at his company with his sons and friends, teaching them everything he could. David was loved by many and will live through the generations to come for the love he poured out into this world.

He was preceded in death by a son, David Schaub, Jr; his father, George (Della) Schaub, Sr.; a nephew, George Schaub III; and his uncle, David E. Schaub.

He is survived by his wife, Gina Schaub; a son, Travis Schaub; a daughter, Samantha Schaub; his mother, Martha Schaub, nee Lewis; a brother, George (Erica) Schaub, Jr.; a sister, Tina Schaub; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation: Friends may visit from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, December 2, 2025, and from 9 to 10 a.m. Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL, with Frank Drinkhouse officiating.

Burial will be at Mount Carmel Catholic Cemetery, Belleville, IL.
