David Ward

David Brian Ward I , 63, of Smithton, IL, born Tuesday, June 5, 1962, in East St. Louis, IL, passed away Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in O’Fallon, IL.

Dave spent the final portion of his working life at Rebel Insulation in Belleville where he ultimately retired. He had deep love for the St. Louis Cardinals, Blues hockey, and above all else the barbeque grill.

Dave had a unique way of showing care for others. Often surprising loved ones with thoughtful gifts and practical gestures that reflected his desire to look out for those around him. Those who knew Dave couldn’t deny his ability to make people laugh and lift spirits with his infectious personality. The memories he left behind will be remembered by those who crossed his path.

He was preceded in death by his:
