Delores Iberg

Delores Iberg, age 94 of Hillsboro, IL, died Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at Montgomery Nursing & Rehab in Hillsboro, IL.

She was born on Thursday, October 9, 1930, in Pocahontas, IL, the daughter of Robert and Clara (nee Abendroth) Meyer.

On Wednesday, October 26, 1949, she married Murl Erwin Iberg at Grantfork E&R Church, who passed away on Tuesday, April 10, 2007.

Delores was born in Pocahontas, Illinois. She attended a one room school on Pocahontas Road and graduated from Pocahontas High School. Delores and her husband operated the grain farm for 40 years. She retired from farming in 1991. She continued living in Greenville, Illinois until 2023 when she moved to a nursing home in Hillsboro, Illinois. She was a member of the Pocahontas Senior Citizens. Delores loved to go polka dancing. She enjoyed needlepoint and cross stitching, puzzles, gardening and cooking. Delores also loved class reunions & keeping up with people.

Arrangements are being handled by Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL.

Funeral Service will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL, with C.J. Dyas, Pastor, The Free Methodist Church of Hillsboro, Illinois, officiating.

Interment will be at a later date.
