Dolores Payne

Dolores Louise Payne, 90, formerly of East Alton passed away November 25, 2023 in Clearwater, FL.

She was born April 30, 1933, the daughter of Ralph and Lois Hensley.

She married Richard L. Payne of Wood River and lived in Aurora, IL until his passing. She later married Bill Bornhofen and after relocating and residing in Clearwater, FL she enjoying cruises, going to the theater and going out to dinner with friends.

Dolores is survived by her two daughters, Patricia (Harold) Thielman of Aurora, Victoria Howell of Clearwater, FL; two grandsons, Dennis (Kelly) Terek of Frankfort, IL, Michael (Ashely) Terek of Elburn, IL; four great grandchildren, Liam, Owen, Audrey Terek of Elburn, William Terek of Frankfort; sister, Carolyn (H.A.) Walmsley of Bonita Springs, FL; sister-in-law, Marilyn Hensley of Worden; two nephews, Tim (Michal) Dildine of Marion, Scott (Amy) Hensley of Roxana; and numerous great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; brother, Darvin Hensley; niece, Sheri Hensley; and a nephew, Michael Dildine.

A Memorial Visitation will be held from 11 am until time of service at 1 pm, Wednesday, December 20 at Marks Mortuary in Wood River. Walter McCaslin will officiate.

Interment will be in Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.

Memorials are suggested to First Christian Church in Wood River.
