Donald Carty

Donald Ray Carty, 85, of Carlinville, IL, died at Mercy Hospital, Saint Louis, MO on Monday, June 29, 2026 at 2:19 am.  

He was born October 1, 1940, in Lesterville, MO to Dallas Clee Carty & Mildred Opal Helms Carty.  

He married Donna L. Prichard Carty. He was a carpenter. Donald enjoyed fishing, hunting and gambling.  

He is survived by his spouse, Donna Carty of Carlinville, IL, children, Fran Daugherty of Carlinville, IL, Tammy (Lynn) Reese of Carlinville, IL, Danny Carty of Carlinville, IL, grandchildren, David (Cindy) Daugherty Jr., Stacey (Brian) Miller, Josh (Beth) Daugherty, Kristin (Jake) Gregory, Kimberly (Travis) Tipps, Kenny (Megan) Reese, Addie Carty, Carrie Daugherty, 16 great-grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren, sisters, Doris, Sue, brothers, John, Lindell.  

Donald was preceded in death by his parents, infant son, Donald Ray Carty, son in law, Dave Daugherty, 3 brothers and 3 sisters.  

Celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorials are suggested to Carlinville High School Athletics.
