Donald Sherwood

Donald E. Sherwood, 90, of Wood River passed away Friday, January 14, 2022, at Alton Memorial Hospital in Alton. 

He was born October 5, 1931, in Carrollton, IL to John and Pearl (Boyles) Sherwood.  Donald retired from Laclede Steel in 1988 after 30 years of service.  He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War.  He loved cars and his dog was his life.

He is survived by a son, Rick (Rachel) Sherwood of Rosewood Heights; daughters, Donna (Samuel) Podner of Meadowbrook and Bonnie (Scott) Webb of Brighton; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and two sisters. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and nine siblings.
