Donna Tarrant

Donna E. Tarrant, 85, passed away Thursday, July 24, 2025 at Meridian Village in Glen Carbon, IL.

She was born on March 30, 1940 in Cottage Hills, IL. to John H. and Dorothy Virginia (Law) Smith. Donna married Donald Tarrant, her childhood sweetheart, on August 1, 1959 in Fosterburg and he preceded her in death on May 6, 2018.

Donna is survived by four daughters and their spouses; Dawn and Ken Powell, Terri and Ray Brackney, Wendy and David Bailey Jr., and Heather and Terry Cory; six grandchildren, Josh and Laura Droste, Danielle and Craig Goetten, Spencer and Nicole Bailey, Ethan and Jessica Bailey, Jessica and Dylan Batty, and Ben Tefertiller; and eight great-grandchildren, Coraline, Savannah, Noah, Colt, Riggs, Montana, Remi, and Mia; one sister, Cherrill Kimbro, two brothers, Forrest and Linda Smith, and Neill and Melinda Smith.

In addition to her husband, Donald; Donna is preceded in death by her parents.

A private service will be held at Elias, Kallal, and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto, IL.

Burial will take place in the Rose Lawn Memory Gardens.
