Dorothy Baker

Dorothy Baker, 91, of Shipman passed away at Gallatin Center for Rehabilitation and Healing, Gallatin, TN on Feb 3, 2019. 

She was born on Nov 19, 1927 in Jerseyville, IL to James E. & Frances H. (Coleman) McCauley. 

She married Thomas Baker Sr. on Oct. 28, 1944, in Alton.  Thomas Sr. passed away on April 12, 2003. 

Along with her husband she owned and operated the Family Inn Restaurant in Piasa. 

Surviving are four children: Shirley (Jerry) Davis of Lake Ozark, MO Susan Davis of Brighton, and Tom (Candy) Baker Jr. of Gallatin, TN, nine grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and great great grandchildren, sisters: Mary Geisler of Medora and Frances Gabriel of Alton, Step-sister: Dorothy McCauley and a step-brother; John Farmer of Brighton. 

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter: Frances "Snooks" Jacobs, grandson: Ricky Davis, several brothers and sisters, step-sisters and step-brothers and several nieces and nephews. 

Private funeral services were held at Targhetta F H in Brighton 

Burial was in Shipman Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Churg Strauss Syndrome c/o Targhetta F H
