Dwayne Holbrook

Dwayne A. Holbrook, 49, passed away at 12:58 p.m. Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at Integrity Healthcare of Wood River.

Born May 2, 1969 in Clay, KY, he was a son of Charley Holbrook, Sr. and Frances (Combs) Holbrook.

Dwayne worked as a driver for Midwest Waste for over 17 years. He loved fishing and entered many carp fishing tournaments. He also enjoyed wrestling and playing Bingo.

Survivors include his daughter, Kaitlyn Holbrook; a sister, Tronda Proffer of Cottage Hills; a brother, Charley Holbrook, Jr. of Meadowbrook; two nieces, Jamie Primas of Wood River and Kelsey Proffer of Cottage Hills; and his former wife and friend, Kathy Holbrook of East Alton.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be 1-3 p.m. Saturday at Paynic Home for Funerals in Rosewood Heights, with cremation to follow, according to his wishes.
