JERSEYVILLE-  Emma Louise Suttles, 85, died at 6:15 a.m., Sunday, June 30, 2013 at the Willow Rose Rehab & Health Care in Jerseyville.She was born in Greenfield on Feb. 23, 1928, and was one of three children born to the late Charles & Jennie (Buck) Lackman.Emma married Clement M. Suttles on Aug. 18, 1945 in Jerseyville, and together they were the loving parents of seven children and shared nearly 45 years together before his death on June 20, 1990.Emma worked alongside her husband for years at Pirtle Theatres in Jerseyville, and also worked many years at Busch's Bowling Alley in Jerseyville.Surviving are three daughters & sons in law, Mary Jones of Arkansas City, Ks., Elizabeth & John J. Poindexter of Mesa, Az., and Kathy Turpin, and her companion, James Bell of Jerseyville; four sons & daughters in law, Larry & Charlotte Suttles of Fieldon, Robert & Cindy Suttles of Winfield, Ks., William & Tammy Suttles of Wichita, Ks., and Jeff & Ellen Suttles of Jerseyville; 17 Grandchildren, Ed, Candace, Pat, George, Darin, Larry, Corky, Debbie, Robby, Kelly, Ryan, Adam, Ashley, Jennifer, Melissa, Dylan, and Sydni; 27 Great Grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; a brother & sister in law, Charles & Evelyn Lackman of Jerseyville.In addition to his parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a son in law, Larry Jones; and a sister & brother in law, Lena & Hubert Edens.Visitation will be from 1 to 4 p.m., Thursday at the Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville.A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10 a.m., Friday at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Jerseyville, with Father Scott Kallal officiating.Burial will be in the White Hall Cemetery.Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society or to the St. Francis Church Altar Society
