Estella Foster

Estella May Foster, 86, passed away peacefully in her sleep at 6:10 p.m., Saturday, March 11, 2017.

Born on August 3, 1930 in East Alton, she was the daughter of Louis H. Hayes and Evelyn Bernice (Heiderscheid) Hayes Brooks.

He had worked as a selector for Owens_IL Glass for 34 years before retiring.

On March 19, 1977 in Alton, she married Ernest "Ed" Foster.  He died November 3, 2007.

Surviving are two daughters, Candace Grace of Alton, Jerri Ann Cash (Loyd Cash) of Carensville, GA; step-daughter, Linda Paul; three grandchildren, Butch Newkirk, III, Malissa Martin, Aaron Trask; four great grandchidren, Austin, Ariana, Isabelle and Angelina; and two brothers, Darryl (Ginger) Hayes of Las Vegas, NV, Earl (Della) Hayes of Roxana.

Her parents; husband; and a sister, Anita Schoondyke preceded in death.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Marks Mortuary in Wood River.

Burial will follow in Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey.
