Ethan Keidel

Ethan M. Keidel, 18, of Godfrey, passed away on Tuesday, March 22, 2022.

He was born on July 9, 2003, in Alton, IL, the son of David J. Hartweger of Bethalto and Megan D. Keidel of Godfrey.

Ethan was a full-time student at Lewis and Clark Community College. He enjoyed video games, welding, skating, and just being outside. Ethan was also a huge Star Wars fan.

Along with his father, David, and mother, Megan and her fiancé Michael McBride, Ethan is survived by two sisters and a brother, Paige Maguire of Godfrey, Sean McBride of Godfrey, and Erieanna McBride of Godfrey; a maternal grandmother, Annette Fraser of Moro; paternal grandparents, Becky Greer of Godfrey, and Steve Hartweger of Bethalto; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Ethan was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Harold Keidel.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2022, from 9 am until the time of service at 12 pm, at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto.
