Evelyn Joyce Alleman (nee Draper), 98, born on April 13, 1928, in Jackson, MI, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at home surrounded by her family in Shiloh, IL.

Of all of her personal accomplishments, Evelyn was most proud of receiving the Golden Apple Award as a teacher’s aide for the Jackson School District. Evelyn moved to O’Fallon, Illinois in 2014 to be near family and became a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Fairview Heights.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, Herman Paul and Ruth Marie Draper (nee McFadden); her beloved husband, Frank J. Alleman; her brother, William Draper; and twin sisters, Thelma Moore, and Velma Fuller.

Left to cherish Evelyn’s memory are her two children, Julie Stringer of Springfield, MO, Joseph (Debi) Alleman of Shiloh, IL; four grandchildren, Chad Vincent, Eric Vincent, Jessica (Scott) Raynes, Sarah Alleman; five great-grandchildren, Aubrey Vincent, Christian Vincent, Ethan Raynes, and twins Ava & Alec Raynes; and several nieces and nephews.

Her family wishes to extend their appreciation to Dr. David O’Neill and staff, friends and staff at Cambridge House, Southern Illinois Visiting Nurses Association, and Ardent Hospice. The support and care Evelyn received will long be remembered by the entire family.

Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at 10:00am, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church; 505 Fountains Pkwy, Fairview Heights, IL 62208.

Burial will take place at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery on a later date in Jackson, MI.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Evelyn’s name to the Shriners Hospital for Children; www.shrinerschildrens.org, or Holy Trinity Catholic Church; https://www.holytrinityil.org/online-giving. Condolences may be extended to the family online at www.schildknechtfh.com.

Local arrangements have been entrusted to Schildknecht Funeral Home.
