Evelyn Ressman

Evelyn Ressman, 92, died at 2:07 p.m. Thursday, June 1, 2017 at her home in Bethalto.  Born May 1, 1925 in Alton, she was the daughter of Russell M. and Maybelle (Zumwalt) Fields.  She married John Louis Ressman on June 7, 1947 in Alton.  He preceded her in death on July 13, 1995.  Surviving is a daughter, Peggy Ressman of Bethalto, three grandchildren and one great grandchild.  Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Zimbelmann, three brothers, Raymond, Allen, and Leonard Fields and a sister, Dorothy Duff.  Visitation will be from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Sunday, June 4, 2017 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton where funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 5, 2017.  Reverend Andre’ Dobson will officiate.  Burial will be at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.  Memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church in Alton.  Online guestbook and information may be found at www.gentfuneralhome.com
