Fanetta Hornback

Fanetta F. Hornback, 90, passed away at 3:52 am on Monday, November 19, 2012 at Alton Memorial Hospital in Alton. 

She was born on June 18, 1922 in St. Louis, MO, the daughter of Edward and Elizabeth (Ferguson) Dodenhof.

She married Raymond “Pete” Allen Hornback on April 27, 1946 in Wichliffe, KY.  He passed away on January 6, 1996.

She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Rayetta Hornback of Holiday Shores and Renee and John Rhodes of Bethalto; three grandchildren, Jonathan, Brian and his wife, Ashleigh and Samantha Rhodes; two great grandchildren, Chloe Rhodes-Brower and Hayleigh Rhodes and several nieces and nephews.  

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters, Luella Garner and Oramel Roesler and a brother, Edward Dodenhof. 

There will be no services at her request.  Burial will be private at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, MO.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research, Make A Wish Foundation or the St. John’s United Church of Christ in Wood River.
