Frances Bernice Fertch, 93, died at 1:59 a.m., Thursday, March 24, 2016 at her residence.She was born in a log cabin in Woodville Township, Greene County, Il. on Sept. 30, 1922, the daughter of the late John & Lena (Griffin) Dwyer.Frances met Darrell A. Fertch, while he was stationed with the U.S. Army at Ft. Leonardwood, Mo., and the two married on July 20, 1940 in Hannibal, Mo. They shared 62 years of marriage prior to his death on Feb. 2, 2003.Surviving are two daughters, DarryllWiegand of Highland and Sally Hart of Ft. Smith, Ar.,; 10 Grandchildren; 14 Great Grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; and one sister & brother in law, Mary & Dwight Barbary of Jerseyville.In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her beloved son, Dennis Bradley Fertch in 1970; a brother & sister in law, Hubert & Frances Dwyer; two sisters & a brother in law, Eva Logan and Wilma & John Davis; and a brother in law, Gerald Hendricks.Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m., Wednesday at Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville.Graveside services will be conducted at 12 noon at the Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
