Gary Hosford

Gary E. Hosford, 64, passed away 5:45 am, Sunday, December 23, 2918 at Rosewood Care Center in Alton.

Born in Wood River on December 24, 1953, he was the son of Clinton Eugene "Bud" and Wilma Jean (Yeager) Hosford.

He had been an operator for the Olin Corporation.  Gary enjoyed hunting, playing softball and watching his children and grand children participate in sports.

He is survived by his special companion, Laura Morrow of Alton; sons, Deirek (Kris) Boyd of Edwardsville, Aaron Hosford of Wood River, Adam Hosford of East Alton; daughter, Breanna Hosford of Wood River; grandchildren, Jaxen and Landen Boyd, Bryson Hosford; and brothers, Kevin Hosford of East Alton, Greg Hosford of Godfrey, John Hosford of Wood River and Randy Hosford.

A Celebration of Life Memorial visitation will be from 12 pm until time of service at 1:30 pm, Friday, January 4 at Marks Mortuary in Wood River.  Pastor Phil Sadaka will officiate.

Interment will be in Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
