Gary Gaffner

Gary Mark Gaffner, 60, died at 2:25 p.m., Tuesday, May 19, 2026 at Evelyn's House in Creve Coeur, Missouri.

He was born on December 21, 1965 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the son of William and Joan (Hahn) Gaffner.

Gary dedicated much of his life to his work as the proud owner and operator of County Glass in Brentwood, Missouri. Through the years, he took great pride in helping families and homeowners bring beauty and craftsmanship into their homes through custom glass work and personalized service. He valued hard work, quality craftsmanship and the relationships he built with those he served throughout the St. Louis area.

He married the former Tamie Henson on February 24, 2012 in Carrollton, Illinois, and together they built a life centered around family, love and unwavering support for one another.

Above all else, Gary was a protector. He loved his family fiercely and would do absolutely anything for the people he cared about. He especially treasured his role as “Papa,” finding immense joy in the lives of his grandchildren and the moments they shared together. He was also an avid animal lover whose heart was never far from the companionship of his pets.

Gary enjoyed spending time outdoors fishing, relaxing on the golf course and cheering on his beloved Philadelphia Eagles. Whether surrounded by family, friends or simply enjoying the things he loved most, Gary lived with a loyal and caring spirit that will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Tamie Gaffner of Carrollton; four children, Cody (Kayla) Deppe of Jerseyville, Kahli (Travis) Reynolds of Carrollton, Sara Gaffner (Cory Dover) of Carrollton and Megan Gaffner of Walnut Hill; five grandchildren, Hayley, Landen, Andres, Ali and Nash; his mother, Joan Gaffner; a sister, Debbie Hoff; and a brother and sister-in-law, Billy (Jeanie) Gaffner, all of Pennsylvania.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until time of funeral services at 12 p.m., Wednesday, May 27, 2026 at Crawford Funeral Home.

Burial will follow at Carrollton City Cemetery.
