Gary Hoxsey

Gary Dean Hoxsey, 78, passed away peacefully with his family by his side, November 14, 2025 at his residence.

Born March 15, 1947 in Hillsboro, he was the son of Alfred and Demova Maxine (Chusnet) Hoxsey.

A U.S. Army veteran, he had been employed as an operator for Shell Oil for 50 years before retiring. He was an avid motorsport enthusiast and Dale Earnhart fan.

On December 18, 1966 in Livingston, he married Lila "Faye" Coppedge. She survives.

Surviving also are a son, Michael (Jennifer) Hoxsey of Glen Carbon; two grandchildren, Allyson (Santiago) and Addison; and two great grandchildren, Channing and Ximena.

Cremation rites were accorded.

No services have been scheduled at this time.
