Gary Lemons

Gary Don Lemons, 69, of Granite City, IL, passed away at 2:31 p.m. Sat. Jan. 24, 2026 at SSM St. Louis University Medical Center in St. Louis, MO.

He was born June 13, 1956 in St. Louis to Della Gean of Edwardsville, IL and the late Junior Lemons.

On May 19, 2018, he and Becky Ganz were married in Granite City. She survives.

Gary had been a Walmart Crew Leader for 27 years. He was an avid Harley Davidson motorcyclist and he and Becky loved to ride. He loved spending time with his favorite grandchild and enjoyed every minute they had together.

In addition to his mother and wife, he is survived by a daughter, Shelby Lemons, a son, Cory Lemons, a grandson, Gerald Hall Naler-Smith III, 2 sisters, Rena Niehaus and Joyce (Leonard) Johnson and 2 brothers, Dewaine Lemons and Michael Lemons all of Granite City.

A celebration of Gary’s life and memorial ride are being planned for later in the year.
