George Patton

George H. Patton, 55. passed away 9:52 a.m. Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at. OSF St. Anthony Healthcare in Alton.

Born August 20, 1962 in Wood River, he was the son of Paul Eugene "Gene" and Mary A. (White) Patton.

George was a crane operator for the Olin Corporation in East Alton.

On August 2, 1991 in Edwardsville, he married Sherry M. Sandbach.  She survives.

Surviving also are a, Jason (Beth) Arrowsmith of Godfrey; two grandchildren, Lucca and Caroline Arrowsmith; two brothers, Steve (Jan) Patton of Bethalto, Joe (Amy) Patton of Wood River; sister, Suzanna (Tom) Newell of Wood River; brothers and sisters-in-law; and nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, December 4 at Marks Mortuary in Wood River.  Pastor Michael Southcombe will officiate.

Memorials may be made to the family in care of expenses.
