OCCUPATION: Owner and operator of George Freand and Son’s Construction Company for over 50 years, where he built over 250 homes. He was a dedicated husband and a loving and caring person. He was instrumental in starting the dialysis center in Jerseyville, where he was affectionately known as the cake man.
MILITARY SERVICE: Sgt. in the U.S Army during the Korean War with the 485th Engineering Unit.
MEMBERSHIPS: Holy Ghost Church, Jerseyville American Legion Post #492, Knights of Columbus, Moose Lodge, he was an avid hunter and fisherman, bowler and enjoyed dancing.
